Notes: Glossy dark evergreen leaves inside leaves red in fall make a handsome dense mounding shrub with long, deterrent thorns. Small bright yellow flowers cover the shrub in spring, and in winter the foliage is plum-purple, more so if in full sun. Fast growing.
